There’s a new improvisation society in Cambridge, Camprov, which runs weekly workshops open to everyone and Pick ‘n’ Mix every month! They’ve taken on some of the shows and workshops we used to host, but it is run by a lot of the same committee members, so check them out at Camprov.org.

Come along to the Cambridge 24 hour Improvathon, on Friday the 20th of February, starting at 7pm and ending 7pm the following day! The event will take place at the Prism Wellbeing Center and you can grab tickets here.

On Thursday 9th October, Pick ‘N’ Mix returns! Join us from 7:30pm as three different acts take to the stage at The Boathouse, Cambridge! This month we have classic short-form and not just one but two two-provs!

The Cavalry: Half an hour of quickfire short-form improv games. Packed with audience interaction, fast thinking, and big laughs, every game is a fresh surprise.

RoBarry: With just two performers, they create a whole world of shifting locations, unexpected cutaways, and a cast of unforgettable characters. Every show is a brand-new narrative, spun in the moment and never to be repeated.

Tom And Tompkinson: Footlights Tom Sweeney and Isaac Tompkinson make up a half-hour-long play based entirely on suggestions from you! Prepare to witness an entirely improvised theatrical extravaganza crafted live before your very eyes!

On Thursday April 10th, Pick ‘N’ Mix returns! This variety show will take you across the spectrum of improvised comedy with 3 entertainment-filled acts! Join us from 7:30pm as brand new acts grace the stage at The Boathouse, Cambridge! They are:

Stoned Apes: This wonderful new group are here to spread joy with short games and scenes! Chaos and laughs guaranteed!

Once Upon A Rewrite: So many fairytales are outdated, and this is your chance to change that! you put a twist on a fairytale and this group will bring it to life, telling a new story that will be passed down for generations to come!

Creature Of The Unknown: Something sinister prowls the streets in 1831, hunting the innocent and leaving terror in its wake. Its prey? Our performers. Its hunting ground? Your decision. Survival? Far from guaranteed. Watch as this group writes a Victorian gothic horror/comedy before your very eyes.

The Cambridge Impronauts’ Quickfires return this week! The first show is on Sunday 26th January at 8pm in the ADC Bar. We’ll be doing improv comedy with a competitive twist! We’re putting two teams of improvisers to the ultimate test, in which they battle it out in short-form games to take home a coveted prize!

If you like improv comedy in the style of Whose Line Is It Anyway, then our Quickfires are for you! We have three of these every term, each with a different them. Every show is totally made up on the spot using your prompts, so come along, grab a drink and tell us what you want to see!
